AIOUG Sangam 15 - My Experience

This time once again I attended Sangam15 - Largest Oracle User Group Conference in India which is organized every year. This time it was in Hitec City in Hyderabad at Hyderabad International Convention Center on 21-22 Nov 2015.

It was very nice to see and meet old friends as well as meet new professionals. The event was very well managed by @AIOUG Team and volunteers from different regional chapters of AIOUG. The venue was perfect with large halls and rooms and logistics/facilities very nicely handled by the convention center staff.

I flew in to Hyderabad from Singapore a night before rather 21st morning 2.30am. So I was unable to had a complete sleep which made me unwell and I went late on the venue. Nevertheless I was all set for my session on Oracle Mobile Application Framework.

Once again my session was next to Richard's session on Apex. Last Sangam14 I presented on ADF Customization, Richard presented on Oracle Forms to ADF conversion session. This time he presented before me on APEX new version and also its new mobile features. So just like last time it was good to have discussions with audience in Richard's session. He is a very professional and nice guy.

I started my session on time. This time I was happy to see lot of hands raised compared to last time when asked who are currently working or worked in ADF and MAF. This made the discussions more interactive and interesting during the session as well as Q & A.

I started of with a little introduction about myself and then moved on to the main topic - Oracle MAF.
First few slides addressed need of mobile applications and challenges which are being faced to develop these easily and quickly. After that moved on to the internals of the framework. How the framework lets developers develop the mobile applications which are platform independent i.e they can be deployed on both IOS and Android. Explained the MAF Architecture and finally showed some AMX pages and components in Jdeveloper and how to create deployment profiles to deploy the applications on Emulators.

Had a good round of Q & A at end of the session with very nice discussions among the audiences.

All in all it was a very good experience and will look forward to come again next year.

Here are some of my pictures from the event.

Presenting on MAF
