It was a proud moment for myself to attend and present in Largest Independent Oracle Event in India. The conference was very well organised by AIOUG and was a way to network and learn about latest trends in Oracle Stack. Though the conference had large number of DBA's (Yes they are super people) sessions but there were also good amount of sessions for Oracle Fusion Middleware.
Session on Big Data by Satyender was an eye opener of where we are heading towards in way to store data apart from conventional RDMS. Its the way ahead and also for Application Developers. For application developers, we should know how to use NoSQL and Big Data databases for our applications.
Session on ADF and Oracle Forms Integrations was yet another great session. Doyensys did a great session on how Oracle Forms can be called from modern ADF UI. It can be very useful where clients wants to have modern looking UI in ADF and still need to call their Oracle Forms for any information.
Sessions on Cloud and Oracle VM were also very much informative. Got to know about the cloud services offered by Oracle and one can make an account and start using them. Also session on Oracle VM and VM Manager was very nice and cleared the basic concepts.
Sessions on Databases 12c were mind blowing. Although being from application development (OFM) background, I was able to understand (not a deep dive) features and things of databases and new features. Yes now I can speak little bit about Pluggable database and containers. Continuity was another topic which was presented in great detail by Aman Sharma and was perfect.
Last but not the least, I presented on Customizations of Enterprise Applications using Meta Data Services in Oracle . It was a great experience to present @ Sangam14 with such a professional crowd. I was able to make audience understand the concept of customizations and personalizations with MDS in ADF. There was a good Demo on it also which audience liked. There were some good questioning about where the personalizations are stored, showing personalization saved in file system, how the deployment of MDS is done to point it to file system or MDS Store.
Thanks !
